I’m On My Way To Hanalei

I was working all day and night

And there wasn’t any end in sight

So I booked a Hawaiian flight

I’m on my way to Hanalei

The pineapples are mighty sweet

And fish burgers are quite a treat

And the mai-tai’s can’t be beat

I’m on my way to Hanalei

Playing in the water all day long

     Napping in the balmy air

Letting the sunshine tan my face

Letting the sea breeze comb my hair

It rains about a minute every hour

     Then the sun shines again

The evening smells of island flowers

     Hanalei, the rainbow’s end

So if you want to lose the blues

I know a place we can rendezvous

If you don’t mind geckos in your shoes

     Come on along to Hanalei

I’m on my way to Hanalei

I’m on my way to Hanalei
